Do-It-Yourself Story

Before I talk about the FIX, I would like to give some advice to all who may read this. The problems I experienced at the beginning were very confusioning; from the Control Locked light coming on; then a cycle lamp staying on; then the dryer shutting off. It finally stop working completely. I found the vent, which runs up through the roof, to be totally blocked. I believe that to be my overall trouble. However the damage had been done. The heat generated by the blocked vent destroyed the Console Electronics board. I would suggest investing in a vent cleaning kit and periodically checking and cleaning. the vent. $35.00 versus $280.00 is a no brainer. That being said, I thought the problem was the Machine Control board ( even the Tech Sheet said to replace that board). I ordered and replaced that board and still had the problem. I then entered my problem on your WEB site. within 30 minutes I had a response which suggested to replace the Console Electronis board. I ordered the board and replaced it plus reinstalled the orginal Machine Electronis borad. Problem resolved. I cannot express how great your company and Web Site has been. Every aspect, from ease of use,to technical knowledge, customer sevice was exceptional. The only thing left is to return the Machine Electronics Board and get my refund.
