William M Prospect , PA May 10, 2015 My refrigerator was running constantly First I cleaned the condenser coils which were filthy. waited 24 hours to see if it had helped. did not help, Then I check the temps. Freezer was at 0 to 10 below refrigerator was at 40 degrees. After removing some frozen food. I noticed the back panel was iced over, so I took all the frozen food out and started the defrosting of the evap coil which was a ice block. After the evap coils were thawed out. I noticed the Defrost heater was black and the pink wire insulation was melted off and bare wires were seen about an 1inch above the heater. Took the heater and the assembly out and did a continuity test which showed the heater and thermostat were bad. So I looked up the part for the model of my refrigerator and ordered it on appliancepartspros.com. I odered it late sunday night and got the parts Tuesday. I installed the part which was packaged well in the box and info on installing it, I installed it in in minutes and checked all the wires were in place neatly. after a few days the refigerator finally got up to temp. it helps if you put frozen food back into the freezer to help with the temps. The refrigerator seems to me that it is running normal. I don;t miss the constant running. Thanks for sendeing me quality parts. I will deal with appliancepartspros again in the future.
