Ray F Healdsburg , CA March 15, 2016 Appliance: Model GE PT970SM Had to replace the oven liner and bottom heating element which is under the oven floor I removed the oven liner and replaced the bottom heating element. This is somewhat of a difficult job. Make sure you tie a string around the wiring and run the string into the proper holes in the new liner as you are installing the liner. You must buy the liner if the bottom heating element fails because you can not remove the existing liner without destroying it. 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
