I watched the Appliance Parts Pros and You tube videos on how to take apart the washer to get to the drain pump. I separated the drain pump motor from the pump housing to inspect the impeller then hooked the motor up to 120VAC to make sure it was running. Motor run fine but noticed a black plunger in the pump body. I went to chat with a technician at Appliance Parts Pros and she informed me that was a valve that would open and close as required. This valve looked as if it had swollen and would not close unless I forced it. I ordered the valve and replaced it tested the washer and all is well now. A $6.00 part could have been mistaken for an entire drain motor and body assembly without the help of Appliance Parts Pros technical help. Thanks for the help!
