Most of the repair was straight forward. The nut holding the shaft was welded/stuck. The aluminum nut and hub was stuck so bad I had to remove the tub assembly, cut the shaft into, and pull it out of the tub. I then had to cut the nut in six pieces and chisel the parts off. I have cleaned, sanded and put it all back together and I am waiting on a new nut to get here to complete the install. Wish I had video it. I will put anti-seize lube on it before tightening the nut. May can get another 5 years out of it. Don’t make them like they used to. In our attempt to go forward we have managed to go backwards.
