Control unit/clock-timer is located at front of wall oven, so did not have to pull out oven to replace. The actual control unit replacement was easy - with circuit breaker/power shut off, remove panels to gain access, unplug old control unit, plug in new and replace panels, a total of 16 screws and less than 30 minutes time. Record the original order of wiring, so you'll remember which wire connects where! The rest and most of my time was spent researching the error code, parts and assembly diagram; reading others' experience and shopping. AppliancePartsPros' generous return policy was most reassuring. Oven is working since installing new control unit.
