Verified "solid mode" side of switch was open, ordered new switch.
Removal of old switch and installation of new switch is easy, the switch is held in with tabs, finger pressure was enough to allow the old switch to be removed. The new switch then snaps right in.
One minor issue I encountered was while the new switch had wire color labels for each contact, I had to swap the two outer leads (orange/black, and yellow) to get the operating mode to match the front panel labels. I'm assuming the internal contacts in the new style switch are opposite the old switch, this can be verified with an ohmmeter before installation. Either swapping the two outer leads, or flipping the switch physically 180 degrees, will work.
Also note that since there is no longer an indicator light in this switch, only one of they yellow wires is connected to the switch.
