I disassembled the dryer following the video on the site. Each of the wheels (4) had a flat spot on them and the belt was frayed on the edges. I replaced the guide wheels and was about to install the belt when I noticed that the idler had been cut through by the belt. I had to purchase an idler locally and then reversed my steps to reinstall the components of the dryer.
One big bonus of this job is that I cleaned all the accumulated lint from the fan and duct and now my dryer works better than ever. I think I might see an improvement on my hydro bill because of the reduced drying time.
