The control panel itself was super easy to replace, especially since it was an OEM part. All the wiring to the new control panel was exactly the same. I did view a quick video to understand how to remove the front cover to access the part, which likely saved me some time, but the actual work was quick.
Although I originally thought the recommended overlay would not be needed, I decided to order it anyway and return if not used, but I did end up using it so it was a good decision to have it on hand and avoid a second repair.
My wife was surprised to discover the repair and also very pleased to not have to punch the start button anymore.
