GE washers seem to have problems with start buttons. We replaced the one we had because of it, and now it is a problem on our new one. The start button is made into the control board so in order to replace, you have to swap out the whole board. A $130 repair for a $2 button. You have to program the control board for the washer you have by selecting the appropriate binary display on the led's. It was good that the instructions with the board were complete and understandable, and I hate reading instructions.
