I followed the instructions from the videos provided by you all. I am not positive however, that the replacement parts were the issue. When I disconnected the the vent tube I was surprised to fins a beautiful nest with three tiny bird eggs in it. In order to build the nest the birds put a tremendous amount of twigs and such, so much so that I found twigs all the way to the dryer itself.
I feel much better about having removed a potential fire hazard but the nest I'm afraid, is gone. I did change out the parts and my dryer is working as it used to. Thanks for the very helpful videos. Jennifer
