Removed electrical power. Disconnected outlet vent hose. Repositioned dryer to allow access to rear of machine. Removed top rear panel. Before removing defective timer, checked timer comparison to ensure ordered item exactly matched bad one. Removed timer control knob from front panel. Removed 2 timer mounting screws leaving all wires connected. Transferred all wiring from defective timer to new timer. Re-installed timer mounting screws. Re-installed back access panel. Moved dryer back to original position, connecting outlet vent. Initiated power and tested operation. 23 minutes.
