David E Franklin , NC June 20, 2014 Appliance: Roper Washer RAX4232RQ4 Roper Washer Rax4232rq4: The timer on my roper washing machine [ knock off westinghouse] wouldn't advance the cycles. How to replace Timer (Washer). First I tried to manually advance the cycles in the hope it would fix itself. Nope that didn't work. Then I banged it a couple times ( because it worked once on a coke machine) . I went to the local Lowes store where I bought the washer and found out , 'oh no they don't carry parts', so I went to the local appliance store and they said the could get a timer like the one I had in my hand but for $215 dollars .Then I searched You Tube and then searched the web and found this website. I found the same part for $125 which included shipping. Thanks to the video instructions found there I was able to replace it. It came 3 days later under normal shipping. It's all good here. 7 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
