Mark G Bay Shore , NY October 20, 2014 Timer switch on washing machine would not advance My wife suspected that the washing machine was broken because the load of wash started in the morning was still running at dinner time. I determined all the functions of the machine worked except the timer. AppliancePartsPro's website helped to confirm my diagnosis. Incidentally, this all took place in the evening...when I called there was someone in Customer Service to take my call and who also confirmed my diagnosis. I ordered the part and was glad to know there was no risk since I could return the part if it wasn't the fix I needed. The pricing was lower than I would have paid locally so I sprung for the overnight shipping. I watched the instruction video on their site so I wouldn't have to break the part taking it off...the video was very clear and accurate for the part and machine I was working on. From start to finish it took 30 minutes. Total cost around $160.00. I estimate a local repairman would charge around $400 on a machine that would cost $800 to replace. 11 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
