Michael D Old Bridge , NJ July 31, 2014 Appliance: Bosch GE010-010 Bosch Ge010-010: The timer wouldn't advance to the next cycle. How to replace Timer. I got the make and model number, checked with different web sights. Crossed reference with the part number from GE. Saved almost 50 bucks. $90 some dollars is still a lot for the part. Oh well, the girls still got to do the wash. I removed the 3 screws from the back side. Now the cover was loose but wasn't opening. when this happens, move the console up and down , back and forward, this one released when i moved it side to side. I removed the dial by pulling the it off breaking the old timer. that was bad move. i should of removed the plastic retaining clip from the shaft with pike nose pliers. when i removed the timer, i un screw the screw and pulled the timer assembly causing it to break some more. You got to use the method of in and out, up and down, side to side, rotating it worked when putting it back. Plug it in ,cross your fingers and say a small prayer for others God will thank you. 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
