Replaced the extension rods. Totally fixed the problem. Easy to replace. It took about a half-hour to replace the old rods. It is done totally through the top opening of the washing machine. You have to remove the top collar for better access to the rods. The right rear rod assembly is slightly different. The pliers we’re needed to remove the left rear hose. The screwdriver I used to help lift the rod for final assembly.
