Jonah T Richardson , TX December 17, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW6300SW0 At high spin the washing machine tub was unbalanced and banging from side to side and then shut down I called a repair guy who came out to specifically replace the suspension rods because I read that if you push down on the tub and it bounces around, then the rods have worn out. After running the diagnostics, the repair guy tried to tell me it was because the lid was not locking correctly! After expressing concern that this makes no sense, he continued taking things apart and noticed the agitator rollers were all broken and told me this is probably causing the tub to be unbalanced. I expressed concern once again that this makes no sense and he told me he would be back later in the week and the part would cost $180! I asked if I could just buy new rollers and he said no, I would need the whole kit. I decided to just pay the $75 waste of time service visit and do it myself. The Cam-Agit kit was pretty simple except needed to put some soap to hold the rollers in the place like another suggested in the comments. I also really did not need the whole new kit, and new rollers would have sufficed. After fixing the agitator, the problem of not going into a high spin and shutting down was still present (as I had expected). I replaced the suspension rods which was incredibly easy and took less than 10 minutes, and then put the washer on drain and spin. After a few minutes, the tub was at max speed, although a light wobble, no sign of banging around and completed the spin cycle. The tub also barely moves now when I push on it with all my weight instead of bouncing all around. In hindsight, I wish I had not called the repairman and did this myself from the beginning. This would have gone in circles forever while this guy milked my wallet for replacing things probably at the same cost as a new appliance! Thanks, AppliancePartsPros.com! Edward G Colchester , CT March 15, 2014 Appliance: Model KENMORE ELITE QUIETPAK9 #110.27082602 Constant and consistant unbalanced loads First I tried to level the washer using about a half tub of water and the holes in the side of the tub as a reference level line. After that the machine still would error for an unbalanced load on EVERY load. It would sound like someone had a hammer and was trying to break out from inside the machine when it went into a spin cycle. I did notice that when the tub was half full of water that there was no bounce in the tub from the suspension rods/springs, it was almost touching the floor. I assumed the springs were worn so I ordered this kit. When the new springs/rods arrived I compared the spring tension between the old and new and couldn't tell any difference. I guess I couldn't compress them enough by hand because the new springs/rods fixed the problem! This new greaseless design with the bushing cups is a great improvement over the original design I replaced, the machine is running like new. Mark B Houston , TX August 21, 2015 Maytag bravos clothes washer was out of balance and shaking violently during spin cycle I read online that this particular type of clothes washer has 4 springs to keep the basin in balance during the spin cycle. If one of the springs becomes worn, the washer will tend to become noisy and shake violently during the fastest part of the spin cycle. I ordered 4 sets of spring assemblies (including the rod and other components), because it is recommended to replace all four springs at the same time. I was able to replace the parts myself, which saved me a few hundred dollars instead of hiring a professional. The job took about 15 minutes. It doesn't require advanced training. Just watch a video on Youtube to find out how to do this easy repair. The parts arrived in about a week. During the week I waited, I did not use the washing machine.
