It is easier when you remove the upper rack from the dishwarher by removing the retainer clips on the roll-out tracks.
The only problen encountered was removing the old part (inside half of old adjuster) from the metal tang on the rack wheel assembly. Turns out you just have to do is just snap off the plastic retainer clips on the old part and it comes right off. Then just install the new adjuster with the screws provided, making sure to seat the release lever between the two halves of the adjuster. The new screws are "star point" drives, not phillips head or slotted.
