We watched a YouTube video on how to replace the door latch. Very simple to do. We had to remove the metal band holding the door gasket to be able to access the latch. After removing the band, we pushed aside the gasket and removed the screws to the latch and the connecting cables. To install the new part, we just reversed the process. We reconnected the cables, inserted the new door latch and screwed it in. The hardest part of the process was getting the metal band around the gasket. It holds the gasket to the metal frame to keep the water from leaking out during wash cycles.
