After determining that the motor and transmission operated correctly, replaced the timer. Easy job requiring a screwdriver and a nut driver. Note: Video instructions for the SAV4655 indicate that you will need needle nose pliers to grab a pin on the back of the timer to release the control knob. This was not the case for my machine, but was just as easy as the video shows. I had to pry off the center cover, then pry out a plastic retaining clip. The control knob and the indicator wheel then came off. Installation was the reverse, with aligning flat spots on the shaft as the video indicates. Simple process overall taking five (5) minutes to complete the entire timer exchange. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
