I successfully turned a 10 minute instructional video into a completed home appliance repair task that took only 3 hours. Replaced snubber ring, suspension springs, drive belt and hose washers. The new suspension springs have about 40lb pull on them and I am not strong enough to just stretch them up from their anchors into the holes on the tub assembly while lying face down on the basement floor in front of the washer. I was about to give up after a lot of struggle, but then it occurred to me to pre-stretch each spring by inserting six or seven large nails between the coils. Without doing that and then tilting the tub in the direction of each anchor as I went around, I never would have been able to hook them in. Once hooked in, I used pliers to pull the nails out of the coils. The snubber ring replacement video was very clear and straightforward, I just worked methodically and cleaned up a lot of gunk and dust that had accumulated inside the washer. All good now.
