I figured out that the problem was the latch. I entered my model and serial #s. I chose the part that I needed and was treated to a video on how to do the job and what I would need for tool This saved me hours of trying to reason the job out on my own. Installed the part and now the washer is like new again. The new latch even came with a light bulb. I had not expect this and ordered a new bulb. But now I have a spare!!
