I ordered the water control valve ( on the lower back left of the fridge GE) which came in two days at the cheapest price online. I watched the video and yes it was about a 15 minute replacement. Unplugged the unit, water supply shut off, and removed the back cover. One screw holds the valve in place. Removed the three electrical connectors. I had the newer model that pushed the two water lines into the valve, so all you have to do is hold down the white tops on the valve and pull out. When reinserting make sure you press the supply tubes in all the way and should hear a click. Then reattach the water supply line with the nut tight. Turn water on , check for leaks, plug in the fridge and wait for ice maker to cycle. When you hear the cycle of ice drop watch the water supply into the tray. It only runs about 5 seconds. If it does and shuts off your done. If not and keeps filling, then you probably have the ice maker unit bad. No fix for it so you will have to buy a new one. Check for leaks again then reattach the back panel and push the fridge back to the wall.
