Kelly H Mountain Brook , AL June 26, 2017 Appliance: Maytag Atlantis Washer MAV7257AWW Maytag Washer Mav7257aww: Water temperature issue: cold worked warm worked hot did not work. How to replace Control Board. I am a stay at home mom who keeps a tight budget. We had a few large auto repair bills lately and then the washer's hot water broke - during muddy/sweaty/rainy Alabama summer football practices (which is a nightmare, believe it!) and I was strapped for the money to pay for a repairman. I have had success with Appliance Parts Pros parts for our dishwasher and clothes dryer, so after a little Google searching I decided to give it a go and replace the Temperature Control Board myself. It was super easy and I did it with my teenage son, (who is the reason we need hot water!) The board they sent was a little smaller than the original, but fit perfectly onto the existing clips/pegs on the machine and IT WORKS! Took a screw driver and a tiny socket for the back of the machine. Grounded myself on the machine's bare metal so I didn't fry the new capacitor or get zapped. Pliers squeezed the clips that held the old control board and released it for replacement. 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
