I shut the power off to the dishwasher also disconnected the water and drain lines. Removed the 2 screws at the top that fasten the dishwasher to the counter top, easily pulled the dishwasher out, put a soft blanket on the floor and tipped it on its front. Then unplugged the pump, used a small screwdriver to disengage the clip then turned the pump maybe a quarter turn counterclockwise and pulled it out. Replaced with the new pump I got from appliance parts pros and reversed the above. Pretty simple repair and I’m sure it saved me a couple hundred dollars from a service person doing it.
