New timer, it is really easy. First see if the other wash modes like delicate work, if they do it's probably a bad spot/contact on the timer. You can also possibly see if you have a timer contact problem by wiggling the knob up and down when it's in the suspect cycle. You have to do it hard enough to move the knob and hence to contacts . If the cycle starts when you twerk it, the contact is worn and the timer needs to be replaced.
