Larry M Greenview , CA October 27, 2021 Appliance: Model F31C336CTO Frigidaire Crown series dryer. The drive belt broke. I followed one of the videos to repair it. They suggested wearing gloves. Very good idea. I had to remove the drum to replace the belt so I also replaced the rear drum bearing assembly. The air duct seal was twisted so it was replaced too. The front drum support was in very good shape so I did not replace it. The idler pulley(belt tension) was very difficult to turn and was probably the reason the belt broke. I cleaned the pulley bearing with some WD 40 and re-greased it with the grease provided in the rear bearing kit. It was a very simple job. most of the time was spent cleaning the lint out of the housing. I didn't realize how noisy the dryer had become until I had finished putting it back together. It was unbelievably quiet and smooth running. Some of the parts were made in China. I don't like the fact that suppliers are no longer required to reveal that info. Read More...
