Richard N South St Paul , MN January 28, 2019 Appliance: Frigidaire Frg(V0) / Built - In Dishwasher MDR251RER0 Dishwasher leaking from door. Ordered a new tub gasket and baffle seal. Baffle seal replacement required removal of the door. Not too difficult. Tub gasket replacement was easy until I tried to shut the door. The new gasket was a little thicker than the original. The door would not latch. I elongated some holes on the strike - still not enough. I removed some material from the latch mechanism (plastic) with a coarse file. This was enough to allow the door to shut and set the switch. For someone not handy, this would be challenging! A piece of plastic trim was broke and I made a repair (replacement no longer available). NO MORE LEAKS!! I have a 18" dishwasher and replacements are about $700, so it was worth my time to repair this one. Read More...
