Mark F Fowler , IN January 16, 2016 Appliance: Electrolux Dryer EWMGD65HIW0 The motor of our electorlux gas dryer was burned out plus i had already patched up a problem with the blower fan previously motor would just buzz on not turn Ordered the parts from Appliance Pro's and installed them. Fairly easy install. Just plug in connections on motor's electrical. Top and front come off of Dryer then once belt is unhooked the Drum comes right out and you have easy access to the motor and blower. After that it is just 4 screws that hold motor and blower in. Install new equipment in bracket and fastened back in machine. When completed hit start button and off it went. Works Great. And has run several loads in last couple days. William W Glenshaw , PA November 03, 2019 Electrolux/Frigidaire dryer drum wouldn’t move Truth be told, I paid repair service for a diagnosis. While the logical conclusion was that the motor was cooked, it could have been the bearing in the blower or any other number of things. The tech that came out suggested I replace both the motor and the blower. Good advice. After watching the videos on the site, I decided I could do this repair and replace both parts. After taking the dryer apart I couldn’t separate the blower unit from the motor shaft. It was frozen solid. I simply pulled both out as a complete assembly and replaced the parts in five minutes on my bench. On reassembly getting the belt around the motor pulley and the tensioner was a challenge. The spring kept falling off. I taped it with a small piece of electrical tape to hold it in place. Very tight space with the drum in. Other than that, this was pretty fun. The website is excellent, and the videos are a must-view. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set
