Lonnie L Burns , TN June 02, 2025 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Wall Oven GCWD3067AFB Frigidaire gallery double oven dead 3 months out of warranty I ordered the controller board and board assembly. Most challenging issue was fabrication of a platform at the same height as the double oven base to allow removal from the cabinet to gain access to the boards. Removed two cabinets securing screws at the upper left and right. Removed the lower oven door by flipping the latches on each side. Disconnected power at the breaker panel. Extracted the oven by sliding it onto the fabricated support. Removed the top cover, 4 torches screws each side. Removed the two black torx screws a few inches inside the left and right side at the display panel bottom lip and upper oven door. Removed torx screw at the left and right side of the display panel. Display panel removed carefully and disconnected two connectors after marking them for location. Press tab on one side to disconnect. The board and carrier both snap into place. A small flat blade screw driver can be used to depress the perimeter clips on the board. I left the original carrier plate in place as it appeared to be glued to the display panel. Ready for reassembly. The other board with all the relays is more time consuming. Take photos of connections. Remove all connecting wires. 3 types. Spade female connections take the most effort. Flat blade screw driver while pulling up at the relays, by the connector, not the wiring. Several multipin that should be pulled up by the connector, which may have a tab to press to unlock. Third type are tab press to release and lighter gauge wiring. The carrier for the board has one screw on the back left corner to remove before starting at one end at using a flat screwdriver to push click tabs free and remove the carrier and board. The new board comes with the carrier. Insert one side into the oven top metal and push the carrier into place before fastening it down with the lone screw. Install all the wires connectors. The display gets refastened by the two black screws, then the two side screws. The top cover gets replaced. The oven gets pushed back into its location. The cabinet screws get replaced. The breaker is reset and turned on. Saved likely $500 for technical repair and scheduling aggravation or $3200 my wife was going to spend on a replacement 3 weeks out. Read More...
