Jacqueline R Bethel Park , PA March 21, 2014 My house was struck by lightening and it fried the control board in my refrigerator... I got an estimate for $793 to repair my Frigidaire Professional Series refrigerator which didn't make a lot of sense to spend that much for repair. So I was without a frig for over a year. I was pricing a new one, which I didn't like because it didn't match my other appliances when I had a idea...It was better for me to try and repair it myself then to buy something I hated. So for less than $200 and only 45 minutes of my time, my frig is back up and operating great! Oh yeah did I mention I am a woman and I did it by myself! Yay me! David A Naples , FL December 07, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Refrigerator FLSC238JS0 Freezer would not defrost I first replaced the thermostat, then heating element and finally the Control Board and now the refrigerator is running great. Determining it was the control board was a challenge, as it required replacing the other items in the defrost circuit first, this was time consuming. In addition locating the Main Power Board (which is under the Freezer section) and then removing it was tricky as you needed to lift the refrigerator a couple inches to provide clearance. Once the board was removed it only required unplugging the old and plugging in the new...that took just a couple minutes. Mike W Brookhaven , GA September 16, 2016 Appliance: Frigidaire Refrigerator PHSC39EGSS1 Refrigerator and freezer didn't cool half the lights were out but other lights worked After talking to someone on the chat service, I ordered a Main Power Board from AppliancePartsPros.com. It took a little research online to figure out where the part was located and how to change it, but it then literally took 10 minutes to swap the part. For less than $200, I saved myself from buying a new Refrigerator which would have probably cost me close to $2000!
