John E Kailua Kona , HI January 20, 2017 Bad lcd display on burner Shut off breaker for stove. Pulled stove out enough to access back of stove. Removed screws from back cover and removed, exposing components and wiring of burner controls. New controls come in left and right versions, each side has two boards that come attached to each other. The two right (or left) boards are easily separated. Old boards are held to stove faceplate by nuts on temperature adjustment knob shafts. Removed one board at a time, pulled each wire plug one at a time and installed one new plug before moving to next plug. ( plugs are keyed so they are suppose to go on one way only but it never hurts to check how old plug/wiring was orientated before removing) Only thing that makes this a bit tricky is getting the large connector for each side off connection board, the plugs are very close together and I needed a small screwdriver to gently pry/rock the plug off its socket. Using care will keep you from bending the pins on the socket which is always stressful to see but normally something that can be straighten out.
