Hugh S Miami , FL June 25, 2016 Leaking washer tub The seal at the bottom of the tub had started to fail. On large loads water would leak so I ordered a new one rubber seal. Getting the trunnion off the transmission shaft was hard as it was calcified and corroded. I used a wire brush to get some of it off and then used a lot of WD-40. The bolt holding the trunnion plate on sheared off when I tried to remove it on one side and the other came out ok (the bolt hole through the trunnion is not threaded so it should slide out once the plate is off but with all the gunge that didn't happen). It meant that to complete the job I need a new trunnion, plate and bolts. To remove the tub I soaked the old tunnion several times in WD40 and then with rocking and counter rotating I was able to free it. Eric M East Boston , MA April 28, 2017 Appliance: Frigidaire Washer FWS1339AC1 Washing machine was leaking water I ordered a new tub seal, and followed the incredibly useful video for replacing it. Along the way I had trouble getting the trunnion block off because I sheared off one of the bolts, so I finally removed the trunnion from the inner tub and decided to replace that too, since it was covered in gunk. Took a while of mostly waiting time for the rust buster to do its thing, but the repair itself was really easy thanks to the videos. The parts diagrams were also really useful to show me exactly which parts I needed and ensure they would fit my machine. Washer works great now! Richard B Washingtonville , NY August 14, 2020 Appliance: Kenmore Laundry Center 41794812301 Leaking out of the bottoms of tub. After verifying that my tub seal was leaking, I went ahead and found this place with a helpful video of my exact problems and replacement. I ordered a new Tub seal as well as all the parts I broke taking it apart to get to the seal. My washer/dryer is 14 years old with A lot heavy use, very bunked you and corroded trunnion and broken bolts. The hardest part was cleaning the corrosion and rust of the transmission shaft (again very old unit with heavy miles) all the new parts arrived as fast as expected and it took me literally 20 minutes to reassemble my washer. Now it works like a charm again without any leaks and my wife is turned on to the fact that I yet again saved us a ton of money by fixing our existing appliance. Will continue to stop here first for any other appliance repairs I need to complete. Thank you immensely Read More...
