Donald M Fredericksburg , VA January 17, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Refrigerator FRS26ZRFW3 Broken hinge on top of frigidaire refrigerator freezer side Replaced hinge assembly. Only required a socket and ratchet to remove the 3 bolts on the top and reinstall using same bolts. Just line up self closing pin that fits into hole next to hinge hole and twist the hinge into position so the bolt holes line up with the top of refrigerator. Requires twisting the hinge rather hard to preload the self closing spring mechanism. Also used several pieces of non residue duct tape along the top of door to make sure door wouldn't move when hinge was removed. Job went very smoothly. Read More...
