Greg C Cincinnati , OH March 20, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range PLES389DCC We had an f1 error on our frigadare stove Ordered a new clock/timer control. This was very easy to install the real trick was removing about 8 wires and 4 plug in connectors from the board and then reinstalling them back in the same location as the were before. I took a photo of the board with my IPhone before taking all the wires off, this made it very easy to reinstall the wires on the same terminals as before. There are 2 additional connectors on the board that a flat ribbon cable from the touch button panel attaches to. Do not just pull the ribbon cable out of these connectors. On the ends of the connectors there are very small tabs that slide up to release the ribbon cable. They may be hard for some to see, but they are there, simply slide the tab up on both sides and the ribbon will release. When reinstalling the ribbon cable, make sure it is pushed all the way down in the connector before pushing the tabs down to lock it in place. The total time to do this job is about 10 to 15 minutes and the F1 error is long gone! Don H Hot Springs Village , AR April 10, 2017 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range PLES389DCB Oven light clock etc did not work stove top elements worked fine Appliance Parts Pros told me it was the controller. I ordered one. Replacement was simple once I learned that I did not need to take that whole panel off. Just unscrew the plastic nuts under each element knob and lift the panel up. There it is. 5 screws and swap the wires over and it works like new again. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Pliers
Jared L Daleville , IN February 02, 2016 Clock/range control board went out I ordered a replacement from AppliancePartsPros.com. I paid the cheapest shipping and it arrived less than 2 days later. While the video was not for my model I was able to easily figure out how to change the part. The best parts of my experience with this website were 1) the price for the part was the best I could find and 2) they promised same day shipping, on which they delivered and 3) the claimed the average shipping time for the cheapest shipping option was 1.7 days and they NAILED it. I would definitely purchase from this site again. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Dana B Snohomish , WA October 01, 2016 Electrical short The high temp glue failed, resulting in the metal frame that holds the elements to connect with the attached relays and short out. I paid $65 to a repair person who told me it was fried and could not be fixed. Well, I took it apart, found the control panel on ApplianceParts. com and had the part here in four days. Approximately 30 minutes later our stove was up and running. Thanks a million. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
