Christopher J Round Mountain , NV April 20, 2020 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range LGEF3031KBB F10 The stove became real hot and smoke came from the back. The display read F10. We turned off the breaker. After reading up on the internet and in the manual I turned the oven on again. Sure enough, the broiler element turned on instead of the oven one. I turned off the power and took the back panel off. The burned up relay was super obvious. I double checked what I needed on AppliancePartsPros. Then I ordered and replaced the Clock/Timer (control unit Part No. AP4513486). Make sure to order the overlay for the unit too (Part No. AP4499672). Some people say you can salvage the old one but I wasn’t going through that process. Swapping the parts was quick and easy. Saved the stove. A relay on the old unit failed. Found it burned up. This caused the smoke and the oven broiler to heat up. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
Susan T Attleboro , MA November 30, 2014 Appliance: Model FRIGIDAIRE FEFB78DSB Oven wouldn't heat week before thanksgiving! After checking the oven sensor and the heating element ( which I replaced last yr aft it burst into flames) with a multimeter, and they were functional, I determined that it was the oven control board although it didn't show any error codes.(Unfortunately the most expensive part). I replaced the board, also called the clock/timer, after watching online videos showing the procedure. If it turned out not to be the problem I felt confident that I could return the part to AppliancePartsPros. Oven works great and I cooked a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner for my family! I'm a 64 yr old Nana. If I can do you can too! Save money and do it yourself. PS The oven element was purchased from AppliancePartsPros also. Can't say enough abt the fast delivery! Matthew S Granby , CT July 18, 2016 Blown electronic control board Trouble shot problem by watching Utube video. Best guess was the ECB after checking some circuits. Chatted with AppliancePartPros to make sure I got the right part. Received it 2 or 3 days later. Installed easily. It was $200 which is a good portion of the cost of the oven/stove but so far so good. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers
