Jesse W Brattleboro , VT October 02, 2022 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range FES300ESD Bake and broil functions were not energizing the element also one stove burner switch wouldn’t shut off. Unplug oven! Remove the faceplate by pulling off knobs and removing 4 plastic nuts from burner switch knob stems. Then remove 6 (combination #2 square and Phillips) screws and remove the metal backing plate. Unscrew two small screws in front to remove the burner switch from the backing plate behind. Remove wire leads from tabs on the switch one at a time being sure to reconnect to the correctly labeled tab on the new switch assembly. Reattach two small screws that attach the switch to the backing plate. Now reattach the metal backing plate with 6 screws, and unscrew two front screws holding the control board to the metal backing plate. Pull the board out of the recess that it sits in. Carefully remove plugs and wire tab connectors from the old control board and transfer them to the new board. Set the new board in place and attach two screws into any two of the available 4 screw holes through the plastic tabs. Reassemble in reverse order. Read More...
