Norman F Greer , SC December 18, 2016 Appliance: Model 790.46593505 Error code f10 (along with continuous beeping) overheat condition Relatively easy repair that does NOT require you to slide out a slide-in unit. - Power down by unplugging or by switching off circuit breaker - remove 5 surface unit control knobs - remove 4 plastic centering nuts around the shaft of each surface control unit (use a flat blade screw driver in one of the two slots on the centering nut and gently "tap" to turn it counterclockwise) - pull upwards to remove the control panel and rotate it towards you, exposing the bottom of the clock/timer/controller board - remove the 4 philip head screws holding clock/timer/controller board - take a photo of the two wire plugs and wires to ensure that you return them to the exact same location on the new board - installation is the reverse of removal - make sure that you test all 4 cook top elements and functioning of the oven carefully before "trusting" that the unit won't overheat or cause some other problem. NOTES: - My controller board came with a new press-on membrane. As the membrane is really thick, installation was simple "press on" without issues of wrinkling. - Give yourself some time as there is a lot of gunk that needs to be cleaned up prior to reinstalling the stove. It took me about an hour or so to replace the part another 20 minutes to check the oven heating functions. - the replacement board electronic part layout was different than the original - hopefully it is upgraded/more durable.
