Mike B Albany , OR September 08, 2015 Appliance: Model PLD4555FRCO Dishwasher's touch pad failed Dishwasher was new with the house 8 years ago. The touch pad failed over a period of 2 weeks, puzzling me. The touch buttons on left side quit lighting up, but the wash cycle worked fine when we pressed "Start". But when it quit altogether, I first thought it was the mother board, ordered a new one here, installed it, but no change. Ordered a new touch pad here and it works like new. The free return policy is great. We repaired this for less than $135 altogether, while we were quoted $100 for the service call just to diagnose the problem, plus parts and a return visit for installation. Our model is PLD4555FRCO. The parts catalog is on your site and helped me identify the right part to order. IMPORTANT: when the new touch pad (Ss Console Asmy) arrives, FIND THE NEW WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS that come with it, because THE SCREW HOLES ARE DIFFERENT, but all the old parts fit perfectly. Our instruction sheet explaining all this was stuck inside the box at the far end and I didn't see it at first. (Be sure to take the little display out the FRONT carefully, re-use the sound insulation from the top, etc.) Read More... 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
