Morgan M Panama City , FL November 03, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Dishwasher FGHD2465NF1A The dishwashers touchpad membrane after 1 5yrs water under the start stop button causing it to throw and "er s clean" blinking after about 10mins until it just wouldn't work at all Unfortunately this model frigidaire gallery, you have to take the whole front off and the touchpad is all one piece. It slides down behind stainless front cover and connects to control board there. Luckily finding this touchpad part was easy, not as cheap as I thought it would be considering how cheap I realize the dishwasher is made now. Anyways it's just 6 T20 torxc screws and two Phillips that hold it in dishwasher. FYI the part doesn't come with the little display screen that faces out not up so you gotta be carful and not crack that and make sure it is right side up. Other than that it's a pretty simple fix, unplug old touchpad from the main board and take main board off old touchpad (2) Phillips head screws and transfer that to new pad. The hardest part is putting the stainless front back on lining it up with the two Phillips head screw holes. This model is know for this part to fail because of water erosion. Took a total of about 30 minutes start to finish. Very simple replacement. Honestly, the hardest part was getting the front door panel back on. Sigh.... After a few quick web searches it looked like the control pad had gone south, a big deal right? Additional searches and if found Appliance Parts Pro, 5 min later the part was ordered. It arrived the NEXT DAY! 20 min later the panel and top of the door was replaced and we were back in business. Easy, quick and significantly cheaper than calling the repair guy.
