William B Ashland , OH July 16, 2016 Appliance: Frigidaire Frg(V0) MFU17M3GW1 Freezer temperature rose contents started to thaw Replaced temperature control. Very easy replacedment. The only problem I had was the screw that held the cap tube bracket twisted off. I had to drill out and retap the bracket.and replace the screw. I srongly recommend if you are not equipped to perform this task is to order a replacement cap tube bracket and screw when ordering the temp control. The compressor AND the defrost units were on simultaneously and i knew that wasn't right. I ordered a new temp control, installed it in 10 minutes and the freezer seems to be operating just fine. At 15 years old I hated to replace it, so glad this worked. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
