Scott R Deephaven , MN April 04, 2023 Broken slide connections on shelf support replaced shelf support "cover" front and rear cover supports. If you can't pull out the displacement pins on the crisper cover support clips that allow the wall to carry the weight of the cover, slides and drawer, you may need to push those pins in (they fall down the wall) to remove the clip. During the replacement of both front clips, I had one I could remove and one I had attempted to drill a tiny hole in to be able to pull the pin. Ultimately it did not work and needed to be simply pushed in. Do not worry, there is nothing below which the plastic pin can contact or harm. Odds are, you will need new versions of the support slide clips that allow the drawer to snap into the drawer slides. I had some on hand so it was ok during the repairs. These are made from the same plastic as most of the other internal parts, and sadly they all age and get quite brittle. In my opinion, some additional bracing under the front of the shelf support to help with the weight of gallon jugs and larger items is required on the bottom shelf. This was a trick I learned and had added to the original shelf support. So the repair time was longer than simply replacing shelf support and clips. I'm a little disappointed that Frigidaire hadn't revised and corrected this problem, but my additional bracing helps with all but the aging plastic brittleness. We are very thrilled that I could get these parts for a 15-year-old refrigerator, but it was quite expensive so it is appreciated that ApplicancePartsPros.com was able to provide the parts. , but I'm thrilled to be able to correct the problem. Ben W Marietta , GA July 20, 2025 The shelf had cracked in the middle and the drawer had broken where the glide inserts I pulled out the drawer and set it aside, took out the shelf, took the brackets off the original shelf to remount the drawer, put the assembly back in and remounted the drawer to the brackets. It only took more than 15 minutes because I took the opportunity to clean those hart to reach spots while I had it apart. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
