Matthew F Columbia , MO January 17, 2020 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range GLEF378CSD The door handle screw holes were hollowed out (the handle is plastic) making the door continuously fall off the plastic latches on the door trim were also broken off. Replacing the trim takes a little bit of alignment and light force. The trim slides over the glass panel of the door, with the glass sliding into plastic tabs. We kept the door nearly vertical (almost closed), lined up the tabs on the trim with the glass door, and used mild force to slide the trim down onto the glass door. (Also, we found that the tabs on trim we ordered were much bigger than the tabs on our broken trim. This is probably due to slight variations in Frigidaire's design over the years, but it still worked fine.) Replacing the door handle on this series of Frigidaire's is easy - you just insert the screws through the door and forcefully screw them into the plastic. It helps to have another set of hands to hold all the door pieces together while the second person tightens the screws into the handle.
