Eileen Z Port Reading , NJ December 12, 2014 Appliance: Model FRIGIDAIRE GLGF386DQK The entire front glass panel on my frigidaire range shattered After cleaning up the glass that was all over my kitchen, under my stove, around my stove and even into the hallway, we started investigating what to do. Frigidaire took no ownership in this safety hazard. So I went online to see about self repair. The cost of the part was reasonable, about $70. and shipping wasn't too bad either, we figured it was worth a shot. The part came very quickly and completely intact. It only took a screwdriver (or a cordless drill) to take it apart and put the glass piece in (after cleaning the old glass out of all the grooves). Our only concern was that the top of the glass piece that was removed had some sort of rubberized sticky tape holding onto the sides. That was not included in the shipment. We used two-sided tape that seems to be working fine. Haven't used my oven yet, but the replacement glass looks great and went on very easily. I would use AppliancePartsPros.com again. (Just hope it is not for shattered oven glass). Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
