David P Henderson , TX January 29, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range FFEF3015LWB An individual did not want to tie his stove down when he was transporting it because of the travel distance because he made a sudden turn the stove fell over breaking the glass front and framework Replaced the door trim by removing the 2 screws holding the oven handle on, then removing the 4 screws across the bottom of the door. lifted off the door trim with the plastic door cap. removed the door trim from the cap by sliding it out. attached the new door trim with the 4 screws that had been removed before. then slid the new glass into place. next i slid the plastic door cap onto the new door trim and the glass and centered the glass evenly over the door trim. finally reattached the door handle and using a shop vac picked up the shards of glass from the broken front. Jared D Southbridge , MA July 24, 2015 Range broken outer glass Very easy fix! My outer glass was shattered and I needed to replace it. I simply unscrewed the 2 screws on the inside of the oven door to remove the upper trim and door handle, opened the side trim and placed the new glass inside. Once the glass and trim are back in place you reattach the upper trim and door handle. This was beyond easy. I am a new home owner and not a handy man by any means. If I can do this, you can too. Also, I was very impressed with how quickly the glass assembly was shipped. I received the glass and had it installed in less than 24 hours from ordering it. Thanks so much! Gary P Guilford , CT July 13, 2015 The screws on my oven door backed out and the door separated and the glas door fell out and shattered I was lucky enough to find appliance parts pros online and ordered a new glass for the door. they had the best price and the shipping was awesome I had the new glass in less than 2 days. I had to straighten out the frame because it got bent when the door came apart but it was a pretty quick and easy fix. Read More...
