William G Canton , CT November 24, 2017 Bottom dollar fridge parts break when you look at it wrong thank goodness for app. Maybe 6 or 7 years ago I had a fridge conk out on me just before Christmas. It was loaded with food for the holiday, including a prime rib roast that was the hope and dream of the holiday for every red-blooded non-vegan in the house. In order to save the day I bottom-dollared a Frigidaire replacement. It performs well temperature-wise, but when it was only a couple years old the door handle cracked wide open. It was so delicate, you'd think that it was a movie prop "Break-Away Refrigerator Door Handle" for a movie about a murderer who tears the handle off a refrigerator door and beats someone to death with it. Frigidaire - what a joke. 1950 called, they want their name back. If gum machines dispensed refrigerators, this is the kind they'd dispense. Anyway, someone on the scene effected a McGuyver repair on the door handle. But after just a few months more parts started cracking and breaking. You'd think that overnight while we slept gorillas were breaking in and pounding on the fridge. It's incredible just how cheaply made it is. With Thanksgiving coming up I started looking up parts online, thinking they'd probably be more expensive than I'd care to buy for a fridge that's essentially built like a children's toy. But then I found Appliance Parts Pros. I was astonished to learn that, not only are your prices reasonable, but that you also provide friendly videos that show repair people demonstrating how to effect the replacements needed, and -- as if all that weren't enough -- you ship everything FedEx, probably from knowing that the USPS is the Frigidaire of shipping companies. And the shipping costs for all the items I ordered came to $28. I ordered on a Saturday. I had replacement parts the following Tuesday. Upshot: I am *sold* on Appliance Parts Pros. Everyone's getting into the online sales game, but it's a rare company indeed that nails the trifecta of price, information, and shipping right out the gate. I may just intentionally break some other part of my fridge just so I can enjoy the experience again.
