He felt it was the valve. I felt it was the ignitor/ orifice. And we both agreed the Harness-Ignitor needed to be replaced. So we ordered all 3, and I'm not sure if in fact all three were needed or not, but now with those parts replaced, the range is working like brand new!! Thanks to all the videos and diagrams on the website we were able to fix it ourselves easily. And the price was cheaper then other websites, also it shipped super fast! Garritt K Columbus , OH April 08, 2017 Appliance: Frigidaire Gas Range LGGF3043KFJ 1 burner would not spark Front left burner did not spark when knob was turned. However, it would spark when other knobs were turned. This lead me to believe there was a malfunction in the burner switch... not the burner ignitor itself. Plus all the other burner ignitors worked so was betting it was not the ignitor module. Ordered the ignitor wiring harness. Installed it using the video as a guide! Plugged stove in turned gas on and it lit right up! Took about a half hour to replace the harness. Part was received sooner than expected and fit perfectly. I noticed when I turned on a tap there was a clicking sound and noted a spark at all of the top burners, thus lighting whichever tap getting the gas. When I turned on one particular tap there was no sound or spark, thus it would not light. I then removed the panel behind the knobs and discovered a switch like device attached to each valve stem, and figured for some reason this ignitor thing wasn’t making an electrical contact. Went online, located the part at AppliancePartsPros.com placed the order. Well, after day 2 the door bell rings and their stands the UPS driver with an envelope. James B Irvine , CA March 18, 2022 Appliance: Kenmore Gas Range 79072809012 Ignition switch wiring harness. Requires 3/16 and 1/4 sockets to remove burners. The range cover is held down by two screws at the front overhang. There are no side latches to open before removing the cover. No need to turn the off gas. I left power on, but that probably isn't best practice.. The stove appears to have been made by Frigidaire, so if you're looking for replacement parts there may be Fridgidaire models with compatible components. No problems with the part received.
