Frigidaire 241680002 Ribbon Cable Harness OEM Part

Shopped online and found your great website, read reviews and based diagnostics on similarities I saw in other peoples stories. So I was able to choose correctly when replacing the circuit board. As far as the water switch in door, and drawer parts I just replaced them because I was tired of gluing them, and knew that with everything working good again and looking good, that it would be like a Tune up for our refrigerator.

I saw a rip in the ribbon so I figured that was the issue. I then saw a "how to" video on the Appliance Parts Pros.com site and realized how easy it is to replace so I purchased the product. I installed the ribbon per the video and everything now works. I am a happy customer.

System suddenly stopped dispensing ice and water. The light for the ice and water dispenser also stopped working. But some of the buttons for "extra ice" and "filter reset" still seemed to work. The potential root cause could have been: -main power dispenser control board -ribbon cable -dispenser control board -water valves at the back of the fridge. At first I thought it was the "dispenser control board" that had failed. Since I didn't want to order one part at a time and waste several days to determine that the part I first ordered did not fix the issue, I decided to order all the parts mentioned above. In the end it turns out the 'main power dispenser control board' had failed. All the other parts were good, but since I had ordered them, I decided to replace them all anyway.

I removed the old dispenser cover/plastic frame (bottom portion broken off/separated and held in with three rusted screws) - disconnected the ribbon from the circuit board. Installed the new ribbon cable in the circuit board located behind the dispenser cover. Removed the backing from the new "Frigidaire Gallery Series" label and attached the label to the front of the dispenser cover and reinstalled on the refrigerator door with three new screws. All of the parts were received within two days using the basic shipping option and everything matched the original parts and worked great - first time ordering from you and won't hesitate to do so again when the need arises. Called appliance repair inside refrigerator and was told I should 'Buy an old one and find the part' which was a small ribbon cable harness. Was not pleased this was the advice I was given from a professional and only having a 5-year old refrigerator?? Started to look online and found Appliance Parts ... wasn't sure of the name of the part and had little information so I started a chat ... rep was great! knew exactly what I needed and within 2 days had a $17 part that was easy to install and saved me several hundred dollars!
