Replaced the housing

I replaced the broken housing with a replacement part ordered from your company. The hardest part of the repair was pulling the clip out that holds the auger in place and then getting it back in when finished. Ultimately, my husband used a pair of pliers to push the clip back in while I held the pieces in place. Otherwise, I completed the whole repair by myself, and the ice crusher now works perfectly.

Removed ice tray assembly and placed ice into plastic bag for keeping. Carefully looked over the unit and noted the location and function of the existing (broken part), to ensure proper installation of new part. I located the screws and nuts for removal of the part to be replaced. I made note the order of the disassembly. I placed new part in reverse order making sure not to over tighten. I reinstalled the ice tray assembly and placed about a cup of ice to test the function of the new part. When I was satisfied that it worked, I replaced the ice back into the tray.

Replaced "Ice Crusher Housing" and "Fixed Blades Spacer, both of which had broke.

I purchased an ice crusher housing from Appliance Parts Pros and received it in about five days with regular shipping. I watched the video and then replaced the broken housing with the new one. The ice dispenser now works as new, although the refrigerator is almost 15 years old. Be careful to note where the screws go, as they are different sizes. Had previously replace the ice maker. Videos alone are worth the purchase!
