Although I could not match the part by oven model number because of its age, I queried your site for oven igniters and matched the part by photo and description. Alex V Houston , TX August 17, 2016 Appliance: Model TAPPAN - MODEL NUMBER ERASED The igniter did not glow as bright as it should and the gas would not ignite reliably Replacing the igniter fixed the problem. The bad igniter measured 220 ohms and the good one measured 180 ohms (cold). This was the second igniter replacement in 27 years. This confirms that igniters do get "weak" with age and are are prime cause of gas oven failure. Fortunately, it's a pretty easy fix. Read More...
